Digital Access? I Think Yes!

Digital access is-Digital citizenship can be defined as the norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to technology use. In other words it can be defined as kids who have a computer/Internet and who doesn't. In the world there are more kids now a day that do not have a computer and or Internet and it can affect your learning.

I love using the Internet, maybe, yeah I use it a little too much. But i use it for school now more than ever. I use the computer to go on Facebook and check up on the latest drama and how everyone is doing. Or I like to go on Tumblr and re-blog my most favorite pictures. My friends use the computer to also do homework and look at their favorite blogs and talk to people through instant messaging. My family uses the computer every day, yes everyday! To balance construction numbers and to add and subtract numbers for hospital patience.

The digital divide is the amounts between those have ready access to a computer and those who don't. Kids today don't always have a computer and they don't have enough time to go to a library because they have to go to soccer practice or they have dance in a different town. Even parents don't have access to a computer, people don't get paid a lot anymore and things are so expensive that they don't have enough money to go out and buy a well working computer with Internet. For me it doesn't have an impact on me, because I have a computer with Internet and my school has one and I have a local library that I can go to if need be.

Our school doesn't really have a big impact on it because all the class rooms has computers, they only thing we don't have is well working computers with the programs we need to do homework. I go to Bacon Academy and I love going here! The only thing I hate is that we don't have a lot of well working computers. If we don't have a good computer in almost every class, or the ones that are needed, we won't be able to get our homework done. It's the twenty-first century and we need computers. Teachers are switching over to computers everyday and most kids don't even know what the Internet is let alone know how to use it. I think that if we get more computers in classes that are needed I think that we will over all have a good system down. I also think that the local library should be open longer till like 8 o'clock, I think it would be a lot easier for kids and parents to get their kid their if it is too far of a walk for them.

  1. hello, I agree on your blog. My world basically revolves around technology. Its a pretty crazy thought that if no one could get work done for school, their jobs in the future would be kinda awful. We all need access.
