Digital literacy
is to efficiently use technology to create information. I use technology every
day to create information. I use a computer everyday because of school I have
to type papers and I have to look up information that will help me with a project.
I am lucky I have access to a computer at my house the library and the school.
I have study halls and I have time after school to get my work done for the
next day. Knowing the terms can help you understand and make connections to the
text that you are reading. You will understand that some people don't have the
time or money to use a computer. Not everyone owns one which can make it hard
for kids and or parents. Even though some schools have access to computers not
every child can get to one at their school or local library. I learned that not
everyone has the access to a computer. I feel that some kids only say they
don't have a computer or they don't have time because they have sports or after
school activities. But most times that’s not the case; I think that if people
get involved in making it more accessible for kids I think that kids would be
able to get things done if it were at school or a local library. Knowing the
difference between the terms is very helpful when trying to understand digital
literacy.
This post on digitial etiquette was a reminder of what we've been learning in this class for the past couple months.I thought that this post can be eye opening to people and letting them know what is and is not acceptable. I think Averi did a job well done and has maybe even tuaght me a little more than i knew.
